Dr. Sandeep Attawar. Dr. Attawar is one of India’s foremost cardiothoracic surgeons and is currently the Head and Founding Director of Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic organ transplantation at the Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurgaon.

Dr. Sandeep Attawar is one of India’s leading heart surgeons and is a recognized expert in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. Over his career, spanning a decade and a half, he has participated in over 9000 open and closed heart surgeries and is capable of performing a variety of surgical procedures on patients of any age, from neonates to octogenarians.

Dr. Attawar is an MBBS Graduate from NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad and has also done his MS (General Surgery) from the same institute. He later went on to complete his M.Ch Degree with specialization in Cardiac Surgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum.

Dr. Attawar is a recognized for his ability to perform a variety of complex cardiac procedures on patients of all ages, and has participated in over 9000 surgeries to date.
