Breast lift surgery is an elective surgery performed for position and firmness improvement of the breast. The surgery is also called as mastopexy. Before the Breast Lift Surgery Procedure

Breast Lift Surgery

The surgery is performed after giving general anesthesia, so that the patient stays in unconscious position. Then the surgeon starts making an incision just under the areola, as they will later be less visible and also get blended with the other natural creases. If there is any excess skin under the breast, it is removed. Then the remodeling of the breast is done and then it will be shifted higher. Then the reposition of the nipples is also done to be higher and done to match the tightened breast position. There are also non surgical methods available for the breast lift, like toning machines and laser lift, etc. However, these treatments are not reliable, because the results continue for shorter time.

Recovery

As the surgery needs the general anesthesia, the patient needs to continue to stay in the hospital for that night. The breast is covered with the help of gauge dressing and it will be bruised and painful, for some time. The discomfort can be reduced by wearing fitting bra. If the pain is more, pain killers can be taken, after taking the advice from the doctor.

The candidate can get back to the regular and normal activities after two to three day of the surgery. However, strenuous activities and exercises are to be avoided for at least the first few weeks after the surgery.

Outcome

The outcome of the surgery will be an elevated and enhanced breast with a younger and good look. The effect continues for many years. The candidate also has to be well aware of the fact that the breast can be sagged as the years passing, because of the gravity and age.
