Dr. Ganesh Shivnani, is a renowned cardiac surgeon. At present, he heads the cardiac surgery unit in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi in the capacity of the chairperson and chief surgeon. He has performed many complex surgeries including Valve repairs and Replacements.  He has performed over 5000 Coronary Bypass Surgeries. He is credited with a success rate of almost 100%. His main areas of interest are complex coronary bypass surgeries in high-risk cases, such as bypass surgeries in settings of very poor heart functioning, kidney disease, lung disease and diabetes.  He also expert in valve repairs & replacements, beside other cardiac surgeries.

Qualifications & Appointments:

Dr. Ganesh Shivnani graduated in 1984 and completed his master’s in General Surgery in 1989 at S.M.S Medical College, Jaipur.  He underwent Post Doctoral Training in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore, in 1994 and completed after obtaining his degrees.   Dr. Shivnani Joined Escorts Heart Institute and later Apollo hospital as consultant. He joined Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 1998. Since last 15 years in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, he has performed over 5000 surgeries. He is leading the department for last 8 years (since 2005).
