Liver transplant is a medical process in which doctors replace a diseased or destroyed liver of the patient with a healthy liver from a donor. A healthy liver or a part of it may come from an ailed organ donor or a relative. Transplantation demands a good match which can come from an individual donor or any relative willing to donate a portion of his/her liver. Liver is the only organ in our body having a regenerative property. The removed or transplanted portion of the liver will easily regenerate itself within few weeks.
