Dr Praveen Chandra is a leading cardiologist in Delhi, India. He is dedicated to provide compassionate and comprehensive treatment to patients with an aim to serve the community at large. He is one of the interventional cardiologists in India, providing proven angiography and angioplasty treatment in Delhi. Moreover, he has a proven success record in treatment for heart attacks.

Dr. Chandra has been responsible for setting up of the entire operations and processes for Cardiac Catheterization Services at MEDANTA – The Medicity, Sector – 38, Gurgaon.

Dr Praveen Chandra performs over 2500 diagnostic procedures and 2000 percutaneous interventions (including valvuloplasty) each year, and along with his team, is credited with using new devices like Rotarex, Kensey Nash DPD for the first time in India. Dr Chandra is also the Visiting Interventional Cardiologist to Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology, Patna and Norvic Hospital and Research Center, Kathmandu, Nepal.

In his previous assignment Dr Chandra was Director of Cardiac Cath Lab & Interventional cardiology at Max Heart & Vascular Institute, Saket & he was Consultant in the Department of Cardiology, Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center, New Delhi. He was responsible for planning, setting up and expanding the Angiography and Interventions program at the Institutes. He was also part of the team that first used the AngioJet™ Thrombectomy Device and the team that first started the Percutaneous Myocardial Laser Revascularization program in Asia.

Dr Praveen Chandra is a fellow with American College of Cardiology, Endovascular Intervention Society of India, Cardiological Society of India, Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. He has been distinguished faculty in international meetings like Singapore Live 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, CCT 2003, 2004, TCT 2000, 2003, 2009 Euro PCR 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.

He was also the Organizer and Director of the AMI course held in Delhi in 2005, 2006 and 2008.

Dr. Chandra completed his graduation and post graduation from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow and Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from University of Rouen, France.
